Judgment of Israel is portrayed in the nine chapters of this book. In eight pronouncements of judgment, Amos (a prophet who was a farmer) ventures around the surrounding countries before landing in the Northern Kingdom of Israel. He lists the sins of Israel and calls for repentance. This is the 30th Book in the Old Testament and was written from 760 B.C to 753 B.C. Eight prophecies, three sermons, five visions, and five promises are found in this book of the Bible.
